about.
We all have our beginnings... My mother was born in the Netherlands and her passion for interior design sparked my own journey. Initially, I embarked on a career in the hospitality industry, orchestrating events for weddings and social gatherings. Through this experience, I gained valuable insights into human nature and the art of customer service. As I worked on significant hotel renovations, I was fortunate to be influenced by talented designers, allowing me to contribute my operational ideas.
Later, I relocated to California with my husband and together, we established a Property Management Company. Quickly, I realized that my love for design would play a pivotal role in this venture. Motivated by this newfound realization, I pursued further education and became an interior designer. Over the past 14 years, within our company, we have successfully owned and operated various properties, undertaking renovation projects throughout Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, San Diego, and Laguna Woods.
People often inquire about my personal style. To put it simply, when I approach a design project, I thoroughly research the specific style in question. I firmly believe that to truly understand and appreciate any style, one must delve into its origins. Regardless of the particular style, I have a profound understanding of design itself and a genuine love for all types of designs. I am personable and find excitement in every design endeavor I undertake.
Having established numerous connections in the industry, I regularly collaborate with contractors on a daily basis. This amalgamation of experiences has led me to the point where I am now ready to start my own business and fully commit to designing. Symbolically, the tulip represents my mother's Dutch heritage, as it has always been her favorite flower, which is why I have chosen it to represent my new journey.
